Interrogation of Morals is a great book on many levels. For the Warrior who must find that moral compass that will keep his honor intact, it is a guidebook; for the civilian who wants to know how Warriors see their small bit in the grand play of which they have only a small part, it is a window into their souls. Captain Meszaros has captured the essence of the experience of his fragment of the whole in exact detail.

Most of Americans forget how much the present wars impact our citizen soldiers and their families. We also forget how the politics of the world as a whole affect how they do the jobs we ask them to undertake. That is the greatest tragedy of the current political impasse America finds itself in. War is not an easy occupation under any circumstance. Adding a politically correct dimension to the mix and we are asking them to take on a mission profile that is not only more dangerous but in this writers opinion not in the job description of a Warrior. I have nothing but a profound sense of gratitude at the deep commitment with which these part time Warriors dedicate their lives to that impossible task.

Interrogation of Morals includes all the above from the bare austere landscape portrayed on the covers to the risk and yes, even the joys inherent in a soldier's life. I found it difficult to put the book down once I started.

Captain Meszaros' Interrogation of Morals will stay with you long after you turn the last page. Highly recommended reading in today's media climate.

"The real story of military intelligence as it is actually practiced in the War on Terror. The author, a reserve intelligence officer, served eight months in Afghanistan, and spent a lot of time outside the wire, getting shot at while collecting information, and terrorists. Here's what a lot of reporters miss, because you really have to live this work in order to describe it accurately."

"Interrogation of Morals" is an autobiographical piece by Jason Meszaros about his experience serving in the military during a tour of duty in Afghanistan in 2004. His military service in Afghanistan altered his perception of freedom, patriotism, and bravery.

Meszaros states:
"I want this book to be an example of the hardships, the experiences, the courage, the integrity and the honor that our military stands for. The military is and always has been a part of this country and will forever be here to protect Freedom and Liberty in America."

Meszaros was in Afghanistan for only eight months, but those eight months would change him forever. He notes that "...one of the hardest parts of being a citizen soldier is having to transition back to being a civilian." He will never forget being on the team that took down Roze Khan, a Taliban leader who had become a legendary outlaw known as the Taliban Billy the Kid.
